S&Co is a husband and wife team based in the Texas Hill Country with a calling for cold sparks!

Hi, I'm Makayla! The co-owner and brains behind the sparkly madness. My husband, Isaiah, is the brawn! Catch me in your emails and on your Instagram feed, and catch Isaiah as your lead technician and master of the sparks! (Your cold spark connoisseur, if you will.) Put us together and you have a small business that runs strictly on a home office full of coffee, confetti, and so much fun.

My journey in the event industry started as a peculiar one - answering an Indeed ad to help a DJ run his photobooth at a wedding out in the boonies of Fredericksburg back in May 2019 (shoutout to DJ Bray for the plug). Jump forward to March 2021 and I'm a full-time wedding planner and florist for a local event company (TBW Creative Studio, my second home!) that I absolutely adore. Now landing on the present, I'm running a special effects and send-off company straight from my living room while simultaneously coordinating weddings and giving tours at my favorite local venue, Camp Hideaway. I like to tell people I wear many hats in this industry, and that this is the reason why I didn't go to college - so I could do ALL the things!

I initially realized the need for cold sparks while helping a bride plan her wedding in 2021, realizing that only DJs offered them and almost nobody was licensed as they should be. The struggle was REAL trying to find someone to make her dreams come true, but then, voila! Sparks & Co. was born.
